Ms Norma J Collins is a female Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist.
I have extensive experience in the dental industry, initially working as a Dental Therapist with Queensland Health, in a variety of locations. During this period I was fortunate enough to work with a wide range of patients, including those with special needs, Indigenous groups and patients from varying ethnic backgrounds.
In 2004, I graduated from the University of Queensland as a Dental Hygienist. I have since enjoyed working in private practice and have been a member of the team at McLean's Dental since 2004, where I focus on achieving and maintaining optimal oral health for my patients. Helping anxious patients feel more relaxed in the dental setting is one of my specialties and I enjoy providing personalised education to help with individual patient needs. I enjoy attending professional development courses to ensure I am kept up to date with the latest information relating to my profession.
Away from the practice, I enjoy keeping fit, relaxing at the beach, travelling, and I continue to try my hand at snow skiing whenever possible.
When the opportunity presents, I also enjoy helping the community by partaking in volunteer work. In the past, I have undertaken volunteer work at an Indigenous dental clinic in North Queensland and just recently returned from a trip to help a dental clinic in Long Tan, Vietnam.
