Ms Meloshini Naicker is a female Dental Hygienist.
Melosh completed her Bachelor's Degree in Oral Health at the University of Durban Westville, South Africa in 1991. After graduating, Melosh spent a short time in general private practice and was offered a position at the School of Dentistry, UDW where she lectured for 16 years. Her qualifications thereafter include a postgraduate Diploma in Oral Hygiene (1997) and a Marketing Diploma(2002). Melosh was elected the President of the SA Oral Hygiene Association from 1995 – 1997 also served on the Health Professions Council of SA.
Melosh immigrated to Australia in March 2007. She has been working in periodontics with Dr Adam Rosenberg since 2008. Melosh also demonstrates and lectures to Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy students at University of Melbourne Dental School. Her interests are non-surgical periodontal surgery including perioscopy and supportive periodontal maintenance for implant supported prosthesis. Melosh graduated with her Masters of Public Health Degree from the University of Queensland in 2012. She completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne in June 2020. The title of her research was “To evaluate the effectiveness of using an endoscope with scaling and root planing as compared to scaling and root planing only using clinical, microbiological and radiographic parameters” which was published in the Journal of Periodontology (May 2021).
