Katie returned to her hometown here in Cairns in 2023 after earning an Advanced Diploma of Oral Health (Dental Hygiene) from TAFE SA in 2022, an achievement for which she was recognised with an Academic Excellence award. Prior to her advanced studies, Katie had been part of the Maven Dental Cairns City team since 2015, completing her Certificate III and IV in Dental Assisting at TAFE Queensland.
