Ms Jo Purssey is a female Oral Health Therapist.

Jo was born and raised in Brisbane. After attending the Gap State High School she worked briefly in Dentistry with QLD Health and then in Private Practices in Melbourne and Brisbane. She then joined Ansett Airlines of Australia where she worked as a flight attendant. At the demise of Ansett in 2001, she chose to return to study and graduated from the University of Queensland, with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science, Oral Health, in 2004. She has worked in a number of general and orthodontic practices in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast since graduating and is an active member of ffiliated associations and continuing education. Jo was President of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia, Queensland Branch (DHAAQ) in 2011/2012 and is currently a National Councillor for the DHAA Inc. Jo is a member of the national Oral Health Advisory Panel and is on advisory panels for both the University of Queensland and Central Queensland University, BOH programs. Jo is a casual member of academic staff at the University of Queensland. Jo joined CPDG in September, 2009. Her special areas of interest in Dentistry focus on a preventitive model of health care, orthodontics, periodontal disease and children's dentistry.
