Ms Helen Thomaidis is a female Oral Health Therapist who speaks Greek (as well as English).
Helen has been working in the dental industry from age 16 gaining experience in working with various teams in numerous auxiliary roles.
Whilst in secondary school, Helen chose to do her work experience in a dental clinic which she enjoyed so much that she went on to complete a Proficiency in Dental Assisting in 1989.
Helen has since gained experience working as a senior dental assistant, dental receptionist, practice manager and clinical co-ordinator until settling on a career in oral health therapy.
In 2012, Helen graduated with a Bachelors of Oral Health from the University of Melbourne, proudly making the Dean’s Honours List upon graduating with a high distinction.
Helen regularly attends continued education and professional development courses to stay abreast of emerging technologies and methods so as to always best serve her clients. She is a current member of the Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapists Association (ADOHTA) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Before joining the team at DRJ Dental, Helen worked in both private and public healthcare sectors as an Oral Health Therapist, providing essential dental care and advice for all clients including disadvantaged, medically compromised and special needs clients. She has also gained experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing healthcare from a dental aspect to improve the overall health outcomes of clients.
At DRJ Dental Helen practices as an Oral Health Therapist in the treatment and prevention of dental caries and periodontal diseases across all age groups in both streams of dental therapy and dental hygiene.
Helen has taken a particular interest in oral health education at DRJ Dental and hopes to help clients better understand the importance of oral health, while providing dental care, education and treatment in a relaxed, easy going and nurturing environment.
Helen is passionate about oral health and finds it a privilege,to facilitate all aspects of a healthy smile including education, treatment and adding value by improving her clients quality of life through oral healthcare and client self care advice.
Working at DRJ Dental, Helen is able to embrace both her passion for oral health and meeting new people.
