Ms Edwina M Plueckhahn is a female Oral Health Therapist.
Edwina has worked as a dental professional in the Mid North for the past seven years, primarily based in Jamestown. Graduating from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Oral Health, she went on to complete her Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science allowing her to extend her scope of practice to include adult examination and restorative treatment. Edwina has also obtained a BSc.Dent Honours (First Class) degree focused on maternal and child oral health in coordination with ARCPOH’s SMILE Study.
As a clinician Edwina’s approach is gentle, holistic and caring, tailoring treatment and preventive oral health education to patient’s specific concerns. She believes it is important for patients to understand how oral health can affect general health and loves to have a chat to help improve patients’ confidence around their own oral health behaviours. Edwina’s dental interest includes mothers and all children including those who may be anxious, may have never visited the dental or have special needs.
Edwina is a past President of the Australian Dental and Oral Heath Therapists Association SA/NT (ADOHTA).
