Mr Jorge IT De Nava is a male Oral Health Therapist who speaks Filipino and Tagalog (as well as English).
Jorge, our smiling and talented Oral Health Therapist is an integral member of the Padstow Dental Centre team and a key player in the delivery of our dedicated health care. He plays a very important role in looking after much of the ongoing preventive care treatments for all our patients and all the direct needs of our younger patients. He works hand in hand with Dr Kalis to ensure our patients receive the most thorough treatment possible. He joined our practice in 2018 and has been mentored extensively by Dr Kalis to fully appreciate the needs of our patients and the ideals of optimal health care delivery in accordance with our practice philosophy and values.
Jorge is a graduate of Charles Sturt University, having completed his Bachelor of Oral Health Degree in 2016 and is dually qualified as an Oral Health Therapist and Hygienist. This gives him quite a broad scope to cover very many of our patients’ health needs. For the first two years after graduation he embarked on a rural care program, providing dental care and oral health promotion to underprivileged communities across outback NSW and Victoria for many people in deep need. Alongside Dr Kalis, Jorge has continued on the path of ongoing professional and personal development and as a focused and highly impassioned Oral Health Therapist he works collaboratively with Dr Kalis to provide you with an exceptional level of team based comprehensive care.
He delivers a wide spectrum of supportive treatments which range from the 6 monthly preventive care visits, to the treatment of more serious gum disease issues along with all aspects of children’s dentistry. The ongoing dental health of our patients is extremely important which is why our continuing care program plays such an important role in helping achieve this.
He brings in a great skillset and a whole lot of personality to the mix. He is extremely gentle, deeply caring, committed and shares all the key values our patients have come to know and trust over the years. He has a particular flair in the treatment of children and they seem to also share a natural affinity towards him. Jorge has excellent listening abilities and is able to naturally build relationships with his gentle eagerness to please. Jorge is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia to ensure his dedication to providing services is always current and evidence-based.
