Miss Melinda YN Tran is a female Oral Health Therapist who speaks Cantonese and Vietnamese (as well as English).
After graduating from the University of Sydney and being shortlisted for the University of Sydney Merit and Entry Scholarship, Melinda has been working at specialist paediatric practices, where she thoroughly enjoys forming positive relationships with anxious patients. In general practice, Melinda brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in paediatric dentistry, and a strong focus on prevention of disease in adults.
Melinda thoroughly enjoys forming positive relationships with anxious patients. She enjoys travelling to different countries, visiting orphanages, as she creates bonds with different people. Together, she looks forward to keeping her patients smiling every day. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano professionally, where she has performed at the Sydney Opera House and learning new languages.
“It brings fond memories as I incorporate myself in creating confident smiles, along with achieving functional oral health goals. Working in specialist paediatric practice and general practice, along with travelling and meeting new people allows me to saturate my desires to expand my knowledge. My humbling volunteering experiences, particularly in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, have broadened my perspective, dentally and about humanity. One day, I hope I will be able to contribute to the lives of the patients and their families, that I have the privilege to meet and care for with my heart and skills.”
