Dr Zena Chakty is a female General Dentist.
Dr Zena entered the dental industry at the age of 16 - working as a dental assistant in Castle Hill. Her desire to become a dentist led her to work part-time whilst studying at the University of Sydney. Dr Zena qualified with a Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Dentistry degrees. Since graduating, Dr Zena has worked in rural, regional and city practices and completed hundreds of hours of continuing education study. Dr Zena is driven by her passion for dentistry and staying up to date with new technologies.
Dr Zena’s special interests are paediatrics, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and even forensic dentistry. She is passionate about giving back and has volunteered with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Bourke, surgical volunteering in West Africa, provided dental treatment with the Red Cross to name a few.
She has tutored dental students at Charles Sturt University in Orange and has patients on the Central Coast as well.
She is community focussed and is a strong advocate for preventative dentistry - this means avoiding unnecessary fillings, extractions and orthodontic treatment later in life. By investing her time in further study, Dr Zena is able to provide early interceptive orthodontics which involves diagnosing early habits and issues before they become big problems and preventing the need for braces and taking teeth out. She is also involved in educating kids on how to care for their oral health and has conducted talks to schools such as Spring Hill Public School and held stands at National Fields Days teaching people how to take care of their teeth.
Dr Zena is a friendly, caring and gentle dentist with a light touch. Her chairside manner is welcomed by many patients and she has spent years treating anxious patients under different forms of sedation including general anaesthesia. She is happy to work with you to achieve the best dental treatment for YOU!
