Dr Timothy SC Wong is a male Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Mr Timothy Wong completed his medical degree in 2001 before embarking on his surgical career in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, completing his Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Part 1 in 2004 and dental degree in 2007. He graduated with first-class honours in both his medical and dental degrees, accumulating 11 academic prizes including the Robert Power Prize in Surgery (2001), Sir John Monash Scholarship (2001) and Bertha Bennett most outstanding dental student (2006).
Timothy completed his specialty Oral and Maxillofacial Training in Melbourne (2008-2011), and gained his Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2011. He then completed a further Clinical Fellowship in Maxillofacial Head & Neck Surgery at University College London Hospital 2012-2013. After returning to Melbourne at the end of 2013, he was appointed as an Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Austin and Repatriation Hospital and Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne in addition to commencing practice at OMFS.
His subspecialty interests include corrective jaw surgery, implantology, maxillofacial trauma and the management of head and neck tumours. He has presented at both national and international maxillofacial conferences in the fields of orthognathic surgery and head and neck oncology and is active in teaching maxillofacial registrars, medical and dental students at the University of Melbourne.
