Dr Thao Truong is a female Specialist Oral Surgeon.
Dr Thao Truong grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. She completed a Bachelor of Medical Science degree at the University of Sydney, then continued her studies, graduating with a Bachelor of Dentistry with Honours in 2012.
Thao worked with Drs Mike Tame and Ben Karim for three years at Sydney Dental Hospital as an Oral Surgery Resident and developed her keen interest in oral surgery. She continued this interest in Perth, WA, whilst working as a surgical dentist in private practice for four years.
After eight years of surgical experience in both public and private sectors, Thao embarked on a full-time three-year postgraduate specialty training in Oral Surgery at the University of Sydney; graduating with a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Oral Surgery. She is a lecturer for the University of Sydney and has presented at multiple international and national dental conferences and courses.
Thao has a careful and empathetic approach to patient care and always treats her patients with respect and compassion. She is known for her careful technique and her ability to tend to the most anxious patients. Thao practices the full scope of Oral Surgery, with a particular interest in wisdom tooth removal, surgical extraction of teeth, oral pathology, dental implant placement and bone grafting.
