Dr Teck H Tang is a male Specialist Periodontist.
Dr Tang graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Western Australia in 2002. After working in the field of general dentistry for several years, he decided to return to University to study another passion of his: periodontics. During his specialist training at the University of Adelaide, Dr Tang was a recipient of the APA Scholarship and received a prize for his outstanding research presentation.
Dr Tang received his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology in 2008, after which he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Periodontics. Additionally, Dr Tang is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP).
Dr Tang’s passion for periodontology is also evident in his continued education, peer training, and mentoring. He believes that in order to provide his patients with unparalleled treatment, he must continuously further his training and keep abreast of the industry’s latest developments in equipment and techniques. Furthermore, Dr Tang delivers lectures to referring dentists and participates as a surgical mentor for the post graduate diploma programme in Oral Implantology at the University of Sydney.
Dr Tang has immense experience within all areas of periodontology, including everything from periodontal regeneration to placing implants in periodontitis patients. His advanced training and expertise also allows him to perform gum grafting with the conservative tunnelling technique without raising a flap, as well as placing implants in the compromised maxillary molar sites with lateral window sinus lifting techniques.
