Dr Stewart M Cottis is a male Specialist Prosthodontist.
Dr Stewart Cottis graduated from the University of Sydney with Honours in 1990. He was commissioned an officer in the Australian Defence Force and proceeded to work with the Army for the next 15 years. A key highlight of his career was being deployed to serve in Rwanda in 1995 as part of the UN mission UNAMIRII. He was awarded the Australian Active Service Medal, United Nations Medal and Defence Long service Medals.
Dr Stewart Cottis completed his specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne in 1999. He has since lectured extensively to students, both undergraduate and post-graduate, dentists and dental specialists on all aspects of prosthodontics, implant therapy and treatment planning.
Stewart is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Prosthodontics, Australian Prosthodontic Society, and is a past president of the Australian Prosthodontic Society (Federal), and Victorian Crown and Bridge Society. He now works solely in private specialist practice in Melbourne.
His particular interests are in finding practical, long-lasting solutions to both simple and complex dental problems. The aim is to provide high-end results using the latest technologies and first class laboratory support. All areas of prosthodontics including reconstructive, aesthetic and implant therapies provide challenges and great satisfaction for both clinician and patients.
