BDSc (Hons) (Melb), General Dentist
Dr Sophea V Hay is a female General Dentist who speaks Cambodian (as well as English).
Dr Sophea Hay graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2010 with honours and started her career as a private general dentist in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
With over a decade of experience, Sophea practices all aspects of general dentistry, but in particular enjoys the art of producing excellent quality, highly functional and distinctly aesthetic restorative treatment. Her commitment to ongoing professional development and training allows her to provide the highest quality of care for her patients, which she achieves through a comprehensive, gentle and caring approach. Sophea enjoys completing root canal treatment as a means of relieving pain for her patients and helping them to retain their natural teeth for life. Sophea is highly skilled in paediatric dentistry and has a personal philosophy of establishing a strong dental relationship with her paediatric patients so that they develop good oral hygiene and dietary habits and can avoid unnecessary dental anxiety throughout their older years. Beyond general dentistry, she is trained in orthodontic aligner treatment (Invisalign) and has served as a committee member for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry.
Sophea’s true passion in dentistry however, is helping patients manage their dental anxiety and taking back control of their oral health. Whether it is providing a positive first dental experience for an anxious child; or improving a patient’s confidence by enhancing their smile; to maintaining comfort and dignity of a patient’s mouth throughout the latter stages of their life, helping to empower her patients is one of the most rewarding and satisfying aspects of Sophea’s work.
Dr Sophea Hay started her career with the vision of improving the dental experience for her patients. And as she advances into the next decade of her career, she looks forward to sharing with you the benefits of her expertise.
