Dr Sonali Mistry is a female Specialist Paediatric Dentist who speaks Hindi (as well as English).
Dr Sonali Mistry is a Specialist Paediatric Dentist with over a decade of experience in professional patient care and clinical research.
Dr Mistry believes effective dental care stems from the partnership of informed patients, knowledgeable practitioners, and a complement of skilful trained staff. As a result, she enjoys bringing awareness and reassurance to children and parents, working together towards the best possible outcomes.
Dr Mistry has worked at private practices and hospitals across Brisbane, Gold Coast and Ipswich. She has also worked with Queensland Health’s Children’s hospital, children’s dental clinics and Palmerston North Hospital (NZ).
Dr Mistry’s commitment to training and mentoring the next generation of dentists in paediatric dentistry has led to teaching engagements with the University of Queensland and James Cook University, and involvement with the Australian Dental Association and Queensland Health’s continuing dental education programs.
Dr Mistry is a passionate advocate for the advancement of paediatric dentistry. She has done extensive research in deep carious lesions in primary molars and trauma to immature non-vital teeth, with grants from the Australian Dental Research Foundation Inc. and the Dental Board of Queensland. She has published internationally and is a regular presence at conferences and seminars.
Dr Mistry is the president of the Queensland branch of The Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry and a member of several professional organisations.
Dr Mistry is active in the community and volunteers with organisations focused on children’s oral health worldwide. When not preoccupied with dental curiosities, she enjoys travel, nature hikes, board games, adventurous activities, dancing, and the occasional afternoon nap.
