Dr Simrit Malhi is an experienced consultant staff specialist in paediatric dentistry at Westmead Hospital. Her interests are tongue-tie management, acute dental trauma and dental treatment under general anaesthesia. After graduating from Patiala University with honours, Simrit completed her Masters in Paediatric Dentistry from the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) with distinction. Simrit then moved to the UK, where she acquired more experience in Cambridge, Leeds and the Eastman Dental Institute in London, while undertaking a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. After moving to Sydney, Simrit gained a Fellowship and Membership from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Simrit manages department clinics and arranges web-based learning for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. She also holds an academic position at the University of Sydney. Simrit is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FDSRCS), Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS), and Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS).
