Dr Simon B Shanahan is a male General Dentist.
Simon grew up in the City of South Perth, living in Salter Point and attending Aquinas College. He and Milly love raising their two sons in South Perth, the boys are both happy students at Wesley College. After graduating from UWA Dental School in 1985, Simon opened Southbridge Dental in 1993 with a mission to provide comprehensive quality oral care to the local community.
As a highly respected and trustworthy dentist, Simon is heavily involved in organisations that regulate the dental profession across the country. In 2016, Simon also served as president of the Dental Study Group of WA, the oldest study group in the region.
Simon has been honoured with Fellowships in the Academy of Dentistry International (ADI), the International College of Dentistry and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Simon is currently Regent of the ADI Australasian Section. Simon also studied English Literature at Curtin University obtaining first class honours in 2002.
In 1998, Simon and his friend Paul Clarke co-founded Equal Health. He is Immediate Past Chairman and currently the Team Leader for Equal Health – East Timor Project. Simon also volunteers with the Kimberly Dental Team both in the remote regions of the Kimberly district and with its southern branch, KDT Southern helping the underprivileged in suburban Perth.
