Dr Simon J Franks is a male General Dentist.
A Kiwi by birth, Simon is arguably one of Australia’s most qualified general dentists. He has an honours degree in Dentistry, Neuroscience and Human Anatomy and a master’s degree in Clinical Dentistry awarded with distinction from King’s College London. He has been elected as an Associate of King’s College London and is a fellow of the prestigious Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and serves as the Chairman for Queensland. He is also a postgraduate tutor for the Prosthodontics program at King’s College London and is an Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Whilst he has completed a master’s degree in Prosthodontics (including dental aesthetics, veneers, crowns, bridges and implants), Simon maintains registration as a general dentist. Simon’s special interest and skills are in prosthodontics — the restoring and rebuilding of teeth and smiles. He has a particular interest in tooth wear (short, chipped and broken teeth), tooth grinding, acid erosion and tooth replacements (dental implants). A lot of the work he completes involves helping patients transition back from false or missing teeth to a full set of teeth that are securely fixed into the mouth.
