BDS, General Dentist
Dr Sameer Dalvi is a male General Dentist who speaks Hindi (as well as English).
Dr Sameer Dalvi has over 10 years experience in dentistry. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association and has special interest in gum disease and implants. The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency requires all health professionals to complete mandatory continuous professional development (CPD) courses. Dr Dalvi has always stayed ahead of the required CPD points.
He has constantly endeavoured to incorporate the latest equipments in the surgery, so as to make the dental experience, a pleasant one for all the patients. His gentle chairsidedemeanour, only adds to this!
Two, noteworthy additions by Dr Dalvi to the armamentarium being the dental laser and the piezosurgcial unit. The use of lasers has improved the dental experience dramatically, as there is no need for needles in majority of the superficial fillings. Children particularly have really breathed a huge sigh of relief. Needless to say, many adults as well!
Dental lasers have also improved management of aphthous ulcers and dentinal sensitivity. These are the irritating ailments which can really get one down due to their nagging nature.
A piezosurgical unit, although has the word ‘surgical’, in it, looks like an ultra sonic cleaning equipment that many people are familiar with, due to their 6 monthly visit. The unit, is state of the art and only acts on hard tissue and is, ergo, kind to the soft tissue resulting in a better post-operative experience with minimal swelling and pain, especially in cases of complicated implants an wisdom teeth extractions.
He also incorporated the digital OPG machine, which gives a panoramic view of the entire dentition, the supporting bone and the sinuses and thus aids tremendously in holistic treatment planning, for the overall dental health.
