Dr Russell R Holloway is a male General Dentist.
Qualifying in 1998 from Leeds University, Russell spent 2 years working in general practice at Wilsdon Dental Practice, a practice that provided dental implants when they were still in their infancy. For the next 2 years Russell was employed by the hospital service; training in the field of maxillofacial surgery and particularly dental implantology. Russell was lucky enough to work in Queensland, Australia and later in Sheffield where he secured 6 months working with Professor Ian Brook (Professor Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Specialising in Implantology).
Russell left the hospital service to work in a busy mixed practice with a keen interest in implant placement in Newcastle under Lyme. Here Russell was able to continue implant treatment and planning while focusing more on the restorative and cosmetic side of dentistry. During this time Russell has attended many seminars and courses on cosmetic dentistry and smile design and has completed his Advanced Implant Training under Stephen Gardner BDS FDS RCS (eng) and Jason Buglass BDS (Treasurer BSOI). Further implant training, sinus lift training and bone harvesting at the Royal Collage of Surgeons (London) under Professor Cemal Ucer BDS Msc Phd and Professor Vishy Mahadevan PhD FRCS surgical anatomy. Russell then took on an additional role of placing dental implants for The Old Surgery a prestigious private dental practice in Crewe. This exciting role allowed Russell to place implants in a multidiscipline practice with patients wishing a complete smile make-over, and also for the Denture Clinic to give patients struggling with dentures the added security of implant retained dentures. In 2012 Russell Left the UK to return to Australia where he works in a busy Sunshine coast dental practice and the AIDER. Russell has continued his education while in Australia and will provide implant services as part of the Multidisciplinary approach that makes the AIDER stand out.
Russell can work alongside referring dentists to meticulously the implant placement and can refer the patient back for the referring dentist to restore or can manage the whole implant case. We have a great team here at the AIDER with Hygienists, Technicians and Dentists.
