Dr Rachel KY Chang is a female General Dentist who speaks Cantonese (as well as English).
Rachel graduated from the University of Melbourne (where she met husband Jacob), and has since committed herself to furthering her knowledge and skills. Since graduating, Rachel has worked in Ballarat and metropolitan Melbourne, before establishing Gisborne Family Dental.Gentle and patient, Rachel particularly loves the joys and challenges that come with treating children, and finds great satisfaction in putting nervous patients at ease. Her patients tell her that her petite hands, although not very useful as a past piano player, are a great trait as a dentist! Rachel genuinely enjoys developing great relationships with her patients and learning about them as individuals, not just their teeth!
Rachel’s practices all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular interest in orthodontics (braces.) Rachel has completed further training in orthodontics (Progressive Orthodontic Seminars USA), and very much enjoys this expanded scope of practice. She is currently undertaking further training in Invisalign and will soon be able to offer this to her patients as well. Rachel is also an accredited provider of Somnodent appliances for treatment of sleep apnea.
Rachel is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and is past Secretary of the Mid-Western branch of the ADA.
