Dr Paul Toumazos is a male General Dentist who speaks Greek (as well as English).
Dr Toumazos completed his course of Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide, in December 1984 and graduated in 1985. He commenced practice in 1985 and bought own private surgery in 1986 at Prospect SA.
While practicing at his Prospect surgery, also working as a visiting dentist at a busy Darwin (Palmerston) surgery, mainly performing Dental Implants, Grafting and other minor Oral Surgery procedures. In recent years he was also the principal dentist treating the Inverbrackie detainees since July 2011 at the Mt Barker Dental School clinic.
Special interest and involvement include, the surgical placement and restoration of Implants (since 1989), the diagnosis and treatment of Craniofacial Pain (eg. TMD), Airway Dentistry (Snoring, Sleep Apnoea & Sleep Disordered Breathing) and Orthodontics.
Dr Toumazos is one of the pioneers of Cone Beam CT radiology in South Australia and he established the first Radiology provider in SA to offer Dentists this new radiological modality with a state-of-the art Cone Beam CT machine (i-CAT New Generation) at the Prospect surgery, especially in the field of Implants, Oral Surgery and Airway Dentistry.
He is very keen in learning the latest in dental science, practical techniques and surgical procedures, routinely reading scientific articles in all aspects of Dentistry, frequently attending seminars and conferences (both in Australia & Overseas). Undertook course for the Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy – 1987.
