BDS (Bristol), MFDS RCS (Eng), Dip.Con.Sed, General Dentist

Dr Parul Bhatia is a female General Dentist.

I qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Bristol, UK in 2003. I began my dental career in a busy UK practice from where I went on to join the Birmingham NHS Hospital services for 4 years as a senior dental officer working closely with some of the best specialists in the UK in different fields of dentistry including oral surgery, restorative dentistry, periodontology, paediatric dentistry, oral & maxillofacial surgery (Adult and paediatric) and oral medicine.

During this time I obtained my Membership to the faculty of Dental Surgeons of England in 2007. I was also actively involved in national and local presentations, teaching dental students and have a number of professional publications.

I then went on to work in the Community Dental Services as well as the local surgical hospitals and prisons where I worked mainly with anxious adult and child patients, special needs and medically compromised patients. During this time I completed a Diploma in dental sedation and the management of pain and anxiety from the University of Newcastle, UK in 2009.

I moved to Australia in 2010 with my husband. Since being in Australia I have worked for the Government dental clinics treating patients with special needs and a number of private practices. I firmly believe in continued professional development and I have attended a number of courses in Australia including sedation dentistry, restorative and implant surgery.

Not only do I want to bring my valuable experience to the community of the Northern suburbs but provide good quality, conservative and ethical dental care in a caring and nurturing environment. As a dentist I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry but have a special interest in sedation dentistry, paediatric dentistry and oral surgery.

I hold professional membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Australian Dental Association (ADA).
