Dr Nishi Sood is a female General Dentist who speaks Punjabi (as well as English).
Dr Nishi Sood joined our team at Dentistry in Elwood at the beginning of 2021. Dr Sood is a compassionate, gentle dentist that really enjoys working with children and families to maintain their smiles and develop good oral health practices at home.
Dr Sood has more than 30 years of experience in the dental industry graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1989. During her career, she has worked in both private practice and community dentistry across Victoria and the UK. Early on she gained valuable experience at the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne working with special needs children. She also spent time as a Senior Dentist in the School Dental Service in Central Victoria and community dentistry in Melbourne.
Every smile is different, and Dr Sood believes in always taking an individualised approach with her patients. She finds it very rewarding seeing her patients leave the practice feeling confident about looking after their smile.
With an extensive background working with children, it is no surprise that Dr Sood is passionate about family dentistry. She enjoys working closely with families to develop a plan to maintain good oral health. Patient education is very important to Dr Sood and over the years she has provided oral health talks to maternal and child health services, kindergartens, primary schools, and senior citizen associations.
