Dr M Shorab is a male Specialist Periodontist who speaks Hindi and Urdu (as well as English).
Dr Shorab is a registered Periodontal Specialist and a Senior Lecturer in Periodontology with the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Molecular Sciences at James Cook University. He is also a visiting Associate Professor to the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Services at Fiji National University and Advisor to the Heads of Dental Services in the Pacific Island Countries.
Dr Shorab has been practising dentistry since 1981 and undertook his specialist training at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Dr Shorabs background includes his work at Specialist clinics in Auckland, New Zealand and Cairns where he provided Periodontal and Dental Implant Services. He was also a Consultant in the Oral Health Unit at Greenlane Hospital in Auckland and Senior lecturer in Oral Health Sciences at AUT University in New Zealand.
Dr Shorab also has a proud association with the military having served as a Dental Officer with the Royal Fiji Military Forces and then the New Zealand Defence Force. Dr Shorab is also a Rotarian.
