Dr Michaela J Hou is a female General Dentist.
Michaela completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Adelaide in 2009. She worked in private practice in Sydney and also as a dental officer at Westmead Hospital Centre for Oral Health for two years.
During this time, she completed the Primary Examination from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. She also achieved a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (Honours) from University of Adelaide in 2011. Michaela commenced a 3-year full time specialist postgraduate training program at Griffith University in 2012 and she was awarded a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Periodontology) in 2014. Her research project was on the influence of bisphosphonates on osseointegration of dental implants.
Michaela was awarded an International Association of Dental Research Award as part of the Senior Colgate Competition, the Australian Society of Periodontology (QLD) Research Prize, and an Australian Dental Research Foundation Grant for her research.
Michaela has been involved in the teaching of undergraduate dentistry students at the University of Sydney and Griffith University. She is a member of the Australian Society of Periodontology, Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontology, Australian Osseointegration Society and International Team for lmplantology.
