Melinda completed her undergraduate dental training (BDSc) in Western Australia (1995), specialist training in periodontics in Melbourne (2006) and was awarded the ANZAP medallion in 2007. Throughout her professional career, Melinda has enjoyed presenting lectures to undergraduate dental and hygiene students, Australian Dental Council (ADC) examination candidates, general dentists, postgraduate periodontics students and periodontists. Current positions include: consultant periodontist at the Alfred Hospital, private practice in Moonee Ponds and president of the Australian Society of Periodontology (Victorian branch). Current teaching and lecturing positions include: University of Melbourne continuing education programme for dentists (Implantology and crown lengthening), postgraduate periodontics (Melbourne Dental Clinic), Graduate Diploma in Implantology (University of Melbourne) and Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy (La Trobe University, Bendigo). Melinda enjoys all aspects of periodontics from debridement to regeneration, implants, aesthetics and has a special interest in the relationship between systemic disease and periodontitis.
