Dr Ninna Yuson is a female Specialist Paediatric Dentist who speaks Filipino and Tagalog (as well as English).

Dr Ninna Estrella Yuson is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry with expertise in providing care for children with special health care needs. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines in 2001, after which, she practiced general dentistry in both private clinics and a community-based school setting in Manila.

In 2007, she completed a graduate specialty Certificate and Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. Following her post-graduate studies, she became a clinical assistant professor at the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, University of Michigan School of Dentistry from 2008 to 2011, teaching undergraduate and post-graduate pediatric dentistry and continuing in her faculty practice. She was also the director of the Pediatric Hospital Dentistry Service at the University of Michigan Health System which was a tertiary hospital providing care for children with special needs, complex medical conditions as well as emergency and surgical services both in- and out-patient setting. She received the David M. Weine Award for Outstanding Academic and Clinical Achievements in 2009 and the Lloyd H. Straffon Award for Excellence in Teaching and Mentorship in Pediatric Dentistry in 2011.

In 2012, she relocated to Adelaide to join her husband and worked full time as a fellow at the Paediatric Dentistry Department at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Currently, she is working part time as a consultant at Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She is also an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Adelaide.

She is a graduate of the 2010-2012 AAPD Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Leadership Institute at Northwestern University, The Kellogg School of Management. She continues to be involved in the Australia New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (South Australian Branch), International Association of Pediatric Dentistry, Philippine Dental Association and the Kenneth A. Easlick Society.
