Dr Lara J Yates is a female General Dentist.
Dr Lara Yates completed her dental degree at the University of Sydney after also completing a Bachelor of Science. Children’s Dentistry and preventative care has always been of special interest to her and was the focus of her honour’s thesis.
This passion for prevention and dentistry may have stemmed from her own experience, having attended this very practice as a child with her family.
Dr Lara joined Children’s Dentistry in 2011. She found a strong connection with the treatment modalities of minimal intervention and preventative care developed by Dr. Graham Craig. She places great importance on taking the time to make children and parents feel comfortable and at ease during their dental treatment. "Going to the dentist should be hassle-free and can be fun and something to look forward to".
She enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry, as well as treating adults and children.
In 2018, Dr Lara took on the role of Principal Dentist. She is very honoured to continue providing exceptional and comprehensive care to the families of the Hills district and greater Sydney.
She is a member of the Australian Dental Association and places great importance on staying current with professional development.
