Dr Khai Q Nguyen is a male Specialist Periodontist who speaks Vietnamese (as well as English).
Dr Khai Nguyen is CARE Dentistry’s resident Periodontist. Growing up in Sydney, Dr Nguyen completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Periodontics) at the University of Sydney. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the specialist stream of Periodontics.
Dr Nguyen has served with the Royal Australian Air Force for over 16 years as a uniformed Dental Officer, which has included numerous postings throughout Australia where he has been responsible for mentoring junior Dentist and managing the Air Force Dental capability. His experiences whilst serving have also included various national and overseas humanitarian deployments throughout the Pacific and within South-East Asia in both clinical Dentistry and Diplomatic capacities. He has also completed a 6.5 month Operational tour to Afghanistan where he was also appointed Officer in Charge of the Australian Medical Team.
Dr Nguyen has been a clinical tutor at the University of Sydney and has held Executive positions on a number of Dental committees and Periodontal organisations. He is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP), the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP) and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
Dr Nguyen brings a unique flavour to the team through his genuine and approachable personality. His broad life and leadership experience and his enthusiasm for working within a multidisciplinary team ensures that each patient receives individualised, holistic care.
