Dr Kavita Rana is a female General Dentist.
Dr Kavita Rana registered as a general dentist in 2004, completed Postgraduate certificate in General dentistry from the University of Queensland. The time and experience that Kavita received from General Practice prompted her to pursue further study in the field of comprehensive rehabilitation.
She completed her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics at The University of Queensland. During her specialisation program at Oral Health Centre-Metro North she received extensive training in aesthetic and implant dentistry, conventional crown and bridge prosthetics, full mouth rehabilitations with a particular interest in fixed-tooth replacement.
She has keen interest in Maxillofacial rehabilitation of cancer and trauma patients. In 2020, she was the first Australian prosthodontist to join Australia based Maxillofacial Prosthodontic Fellowship at Chis O’Brien Lifehouse cancer hospital, Sydney.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Kavita Rana has been devoted to dental education. The excitement of interacting with the students and fostering their growth in her chosen field of prosthodontics brings her abundant rewards. Dr Kavita Rana has held Senior Lecturer position with the James Cook University and Honorary position at Sydney Dental Hospital with Specialist support unit. She believes she can train the budding dentist to achieve highest standard of skills and deliver high standard of patient care.
