BDSc (Melb), General Dentist
Dr Katherine AF Wong is a female General Dentist who speaks Cantonese, Malay and Mandarin (as well as English).
My name is Katherine Wong. I am a 2005 BDSc graduate from Melbourne University. I grew up in a small town called Kota Kinabalu in East Malaysia and later came to Melbourne for further education when my family migrated to Australia. Since graduation, I have spent a year working in Central Queensland and two years working in Shepparton. I came back to Melbourne and started working here at Caring Dental Group during Christmas 2008. In my spare time, I am trying to learn jazz piano and sewing while also serving at a café in Crossway Baptist Church. I enjoy travelling and am always keen to hear about your travel plans. When possible, I do volunteer work with my church across Asia. Professionally, I enjoy doing general dentistry and I work mainly with families. I believe prevention is a better way to having healthy teeth and we need to develop good habits from a young age. Due to my upbringing, I am fluent in English and Mandarin while my Cantonsese has improved dramatically over the years with the help of many conversations with my patients. I also have conversational Malay.
