Dr Kate Burgess is a female Specialist Periodontist.
Dr Kate Burgess started her training at the University of Birmingham before emigrating to Australia completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Western Australia in 2007. During which she was awarded the Australian Society of Periodontology prize, DJ Cock prize in Periodontics and the Kenneth J G Sutherland Prize in Clinical Dentistry. After graduation, she spent a year working within the Aboriginal medical service in rural and remote regions of WA before returning closer to Perth to spent a further few years in the country practice in Mandurah. She returned to further study completing her Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2013 and has been working at Moonee Ponds Periodontics and Implant Centre since.
She is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP), the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP) and the International Team for Implantology. She is currently serving on the ASP committee.
Kate is passionate about her work and enjoys the challenges associated with patient management of complex multidisciplinary cases.
