Dr Julie X Sheng is a female General Dentist who speaks Mandarin (as well as English).
Joining the team at Maven Dental Leopold in March 2020, Dr Julie Sheng is a talented young dentist that enjoys preventative and aesthetic dentistry. Julie’s caring and gentle nature help anxious and worried patients feel at ease with her.
Originally from Shanghai, Dr Sheng moved to Australia at the age of 10. She has always been passionate about helping people which influenced her decision to enter the Health and Wellness sector. After graduating with first-class honours from a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne in 2014 Julie continued studying to successfully complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2018.
Julie has worked at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and various community centres across Victoria during her time at university. Since graduating, she has worked part-time in two private dental clinics - one in Melbourne CBD, another at Geelong Grovedale.
Julie is passionate about preventive dentistry and believes that most dental problems can be prevented entirely or resolved more simply in their early stages. She has a strong interest in aesthetic and restorative (fillings, veneers and crowns) dentistry and aims to help all her patients feel beautiful and confident with their smiles.
Julie is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is member of the Australian Dental Association. She has been awarded the Michelle Clark Memorial Prize in Preventive Dentistry, Des crack Memorial Prize in Child and Adolescent Dentistry, and nominated Australian Dental Association Victoria Branch Young Dentist Prize in recognition for her achievements.
