Dr John R Pearson is a male Specialist Prosthodontist.
John Pearson grew up in Southern Queensland, was educated at Ipswich Grammar School and obtained his undergraduate degree (BDSc) at the University of Queensland. He immediately moved to Victoria where he was in general practice for 3 years before moving to London UK where he spent the next 6 years in General Practice.
During this time he not only traveled widely throughout Europe with his interest in Archeology and Anthropology, particularly of the European area. He returned to Australia for a further couple of years in General Practice in suburban Melbourne before entering University to study Prosthetic Dentistry, obtaining his post graduate qualification (M.D.Sc.) at the University of Melbourne. His interest in this branch of dentistry began in his undergraduate years and has been his lifetime interest, particularly his interest in removable prosthodontics or dentures.
He has spent a number of years teaching clinical prosthodontics at the undergraduate level and has lectured widely within Australia and overseas to his peers.
He is a member of the Australian Dental Association, having served on its executive. He is also a past president of the Australian Prosthodontics Society, a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Prosthodontists, and a member of the International College o Prosthodontists.
Dr Pearson is a registered by the Dental Practice Board of Victoria as a specialist prosthodontist, and is currently in private practice, practicing all aspects of prosthetic dentistry.
