Joanne completed Dentistry at Sydney University in 1982 and after working in private practice in Sydney, moved to London for 5 years of working and travelling. She returned to Sydney in 1988 and worked at both the Macquarie University practice and another private practice, ultimately buying the Macquarie University practice in 1992. Since this time she has continued to manage the practice and treat patients, juggling work and her family life with her husband and three children. An opportunity in 2006 saw a move to Dubai for the family, but Joanne returned to the practice every few months to continue treatment of her patients. July 2009 saw a permanent return to Australia, which her staff and patients are delighted about and has allowed for the growth of the practice in 2010 into the ever expanding business district surrounding the university.
