Dr Jason A Michael is a male Specialist Paediatric Dentist.
Jason graduated from the University of Adelaide with Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (Honours) degrees. He was awarded the University Medal for his academic achievements.
As a new graduate, Jason worked in a number of regional and rural clinics in Central Queensland. During this time it was his experiences in the School Dental Clinics that sparked his interest in Paediatric Dentistry. After graduating with a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (Paediatric Dentistry) degree at the University of Sydney, Jason commenced part-time private practice in Sydney and part-time work at Westmead Centre for Oral Health.
After moving to the Illawarra with his young family Jason decided to start a locally-based paediatric dental practice to serve the community.
Jason maintains an interest in teaching through his involvement with supervising and mentoring the post-graduate paediatric dentistry students at the University of Sydney. He also lectures both locally and interstate on a variety of topics and has published a number of research papers. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his growing family, playing tennis, cycling and learning to surf.
Jason is a member of the following groups: Australian Dental Association, Australasian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry, Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
