Dr Igor G Lavrin is a male Specialist Orthodontist.
Dr Lavrin grew up in both Melbourne and Hong Kong. He received his dental education at the University of Adelaide. Dr Lavrin then worked as a general dentist in Melbourne and Warrandyte. Furthering his specialization, Dr Lavrin completed a 3-year orthodontic specialist programme and Master's at Harvard University in the United States. He has been the recipient of numerous awards for scholastic and clinical excellence and Dr Lavrin has published articles in the orthodontic and scientific literature. He has worked in private orthodontic practice in Massachusetts, USA, lectured internationally in the United States, Canada and Asia. He has also taught orthodontics to dental students at Harvard University.
Dr Lavrin has taught in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Melbourne and is on the Editorial Board of the Australian Orthodontic Journal. He holds professional memberships in the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the Australian Dental Association, the World Dental Federation, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Australasian Society of Lingual Orthodontics, and the Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics. He is a past President of the Harvard Club of Australia (Victoria) and a past Federal Treasurer of the Australian Society of Orthodontists. Dr Lavrin is a certified member and assessor of the Australian Orthodontic Board. Dr Lavrin is the elected President of the Australasian Society of Lingual Orthodontists.
