Dr Ian L Davies is a male General Dentist.
Since graduating with Honours from the University of Queensland in 1997, Ian has been in general practice in the Brisbane CBD. Throughout his career, Ian has been mentored by specialist colleagues and has attended many postgraduate courses. He comes with a unique skill set, combining his interests in biologically driven cosmetic and restorative dentistry with endodontics, sleep dentistry, anxiety management and evidence based treatments for temporomandibular joint problems.
In addition to receiving referrals from medical colleagues for sleep apnoea appliances, Ian is currently carrying out a research study in association with UQ to create a protocol to assist anxious patients to manage their own anxiety. Many participants have recorded markedly reduced anxiety before and during their treatment while others have and managing to complete procedures that they never thought possible. Ian is keen to keep updated and has recently added Botox injections for jaw and temporomandibular joint and muscle pain to his repertoire.
Ian’s calm, reassuring manner, his holistic approach combined with his professionalism and high level of clinical skill ensure that patients feel relaxed and reassured while receiving optimal, personalised dental care.
