Dr Mashi Amarapala is a female General Dentist.
Since graduating in 2003, Dr Himashi was attached to the academic staff at the only Dental Faculty in Sri Lanka prior to moving to Melbourne. Although she had a keen interest in research particular in oral Cancer and was awarded a Norad Scholarship at University of Bergen in Norway she discovered that Clinical Dentistry is her passion.
Upon completion of the Australian Dental Council Examination in the First attempt Dr. Himashi has been working in both Public and Private sector and has a plethora of experience including in the holistic aspects of dentistry while she was attached to a Holistic Dental Clinic in South Yarra prior to joining Cathies Lane Dental and been with the practice since 2012.
Dr Himashi is has treated patients of all ages and needs, and endeavors to always provide the utmost care and excellent delivery of treatment. She makes it her priority to put everyone at ease in a friendly, relaxed environment. She facilitates patient participation so that patients can play a much more important role in their treatment plans, and the creation as well as maintenance of beautiful smiles by emphasising on good oral and dietary habits!
Dr Himashi is strongly committed to the pursuit of continuing dental education in order to provide patients with the latest, most advanced treatments and techniques. In fact, she often has more than doubled the state requirement for continuing education year after year. This dedication to furthering her knowledge and skills, particularly Aesthetic Dentistry, interceptive treatment, orthodontics as well as Dental Sleep Medicine and reflects her commitment to bring her patients the most satisfying and long-term results possible.
