Dr Hemalatha Andavan is a female General Dentist who speaks Tamil (as well as English).
Dr Hemalatha Andavan was born and raised in India where she graduated with a Bachelor of Dental surgery from the MGR Medical University in 2012. Following graduation, Dr Hema practiced as a general dentist for before immigrating to Australia. She worked as a dental assistant for four years in Adelaide and during this time gained extensive experience, knowledge, and confidence to sit the Australian Dental Council exams, in which she passed in 2021.
Passionate about her job as a dentist, Dr Hema has a calm and patient nature and aims to provide all her patients with the highest level of dental care. She always takes the time to explain treatment in detail as she understands each patient has individual needs and concerns.
Although she enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including aesthetic/cosmetic dentistry as well as preventative and cosmetic dentistry. Dr Hema hold herself at a high standard and places heavy focus on expanding her clinical knowledge and experience so she can continue to provide optimum service and the best patient care.
Dr Hema believes dentistry is more than filling and drilling. She loves that she can exercise her brain with knowledge and techniques, as well as using her artistic skills to create great looking teeth and brilliant smiles. Dr Hema strives to ensure people of all ages comfortable in the dental chair even though most patients claim to have dental anxiety.
