Dr Gisely A Mendes is a female General Dentist who speaks Portuguese and Spanish (as well as English).
Gisely graduated as a Dentist in Brazil in 1988. After further studies she completed her Masters of Dental Paediatrics in 1991 at the Brazilian Airforce Technological Center in Sao Paulo. She then continued on with her studies to complete her Masters in Orthodontics with the Sao Paulo Dental Surgeon Association concluding in 1993.
In 1997 Gisely had the opportunity to be part of the prestigious “The Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontics” while completing her 2 year post Masters Orthodontic course.
Gisely worked in private practice in Brazil for over 10 years prior to moving to Australia. She was an active member of the Brazilian Orthodontic Society and also a member of the Dental Association in Sao Paulo.
In 2000 Gisely moved to Australia and commenced working at MyDentist as a Dental Assistant. She married and had two children while studying for her dental exams to convert her degree to Australian standards.
Gisely successfully passed the Australian Dental Council examinations in 2010 to be recognized as a General Dentist in Australia .
After spending 3 years back in Brazil with her family she rejoined MyDentist in 2013 practising General Dentistry with special interest in Preventative Dentistry and Orthodontics.
Continuing education courses and seminars is a priority for Gisely to keep her updated with new information , technology and skills to provide excellent care for her patients.
