BDSc, MDSc (Ortho), Specialist Orthodontist
Dr Gary J Clark is a male Specialist Orthodontist.
Dr Clark obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Qld, graduating with honours, winning the Vardiman Study prize during his studies. He then embarked upon a career as a general dentist, for 10 years, working in the defence forces both in Australia and overseas, as well as private practices and public hospitals.
This dental experience allowed him to access and use the very latest dental technology and expand his expertise, placing his first dental implant in 1990 when implants were then "cutting edge". As a specialist it is important to know and understand what problems general dentists face, as well as what other dental specialities can offer you in planning your treatment.
He obtained his Masters of Dental Science in 1997 from Sydney University and worked at Westmead Hospital, for other orthodontists as well as a major health fund, to obtain further experience until he established Penrith Orthodontics in 2000. Since then, the Penrith area has grown and Penrith Orthodontics has evolved as a leading provider of orthodontic treatment in the Nepean, Hawkesbury and Lower Blue Mountains. Dr Clark lives in the Penrith area and takes a keen interest in ensuring that he maintains and delivers the latest and best possible treatments available to his patients. He continues to lecture both locally and overseas in South East Asia, China and the USA as part of the "Cutting Edge" dentistry group and is a convenor of the Nepean “Dental Ed” continuing education group.
