Dr Elizabeth JY Yu is a female Specialist Periodontist who speaks Korean (as well as English).
Dr Elizabeth Yu obtained her BDSC (Honours) at the University of Melbourne and was immediately drawn to the field of periodontics. While working as a dentist in Queensland, she gained experience in all aspects of dentistry, building a passion for providing high quality care to her patients.
In 2016 Elizabeth moved back to Melbourne to commence specialist training at the University of Melbourne. She successfully completed her clinical training in periodontics and implant dentistry, with her research thesis on the interaction between periodontal disease and medical/systemic conditions. She provides a range of grafting procedures, regenerative therapies, mucogingival surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery, orthodontist-perio treatment, as well as surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatments.
To further her knowledge and skills, Elizabeth is actively involved in professional development and continues to mentor dental students as a clinical supervisor at the University of Melbourne.
