Dr Elena E Ng-Chie is a female General Dentist who speaks Cantonese (as well as English).
After graduating from the University of Otago in 1995, Elena began her career as part of a private practice in Wellington. She then moved to Australia to work in hospital dentistry and within two years she was responsible for the oversight of Oral Health Services delivery to the Gladstone and Biloela districts.
Her desire to provide the best possible dental care had her returning to private practice in 2002 and consequently purchased a practice in 2003, also in Gladstone. She was also nominated for the small business awards in 2006.
Her love of kids and family was then reflected in her decision to sell the practice to spend more time with her family and friends. She continued in private practice and arrived at Birkdale in 2011. Elena continues to provide a level of care both acknowledged and appreciated by her peers. The quality of her care is clearly indicated in the patients who still travel to see her from Gladstone and the Sunshine Coast.
She is a caring and compassionate dentist who takes the time to explain the required treatment and why it is done that way. She believes her patients should be fully informed of all risks and all possible alternatives, in order to make every dental experience the most pleasurable it can be.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a particular interest in caring for children.
