Dr Dinesh Sanmuganathan is a male Specialist Orthodontist.
Dr Dinesh grew up in Sydney’s Western Suburbs completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Sydney in 2001. After a few years in general practice he then completed his Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry, specialising Orthodontics. Upon entry he was the sole orthodontic student in receipt of the Australian Postgraduate Award, a national scholarship for academic excellence.
Since then, Dr Dinesh has completed a Membership in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and also a Membership in Orthodontics through the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. His specialist training has allowed him a wide range of experience in the treatment of orthodontic problems of all ages.
As a senior registrar at the Adelaide Dental Hospital, he was dispatched to work as part of a specialised team with the Cleft Lip and Palate Unit at Flinders University Hospital and the Adelaide Craniofacial Unit at the Women's and Children's Hospital.
To keep up with the most modern advances in orthodontics Dr Dinesh makes it a point to attend the annual congresses run by both the Australian Society of Orthodontists and American Association of Orthodontists. The knowledge gained from these conferences allows My Dental Team to be at the forefront of orthodontic practice and deliver the most advanced treatments to our patients.
On his days off Dinesh enjoys playing tennis, cricket and surfing whenever possible.
