Dr David H Farrington is a male General Dentist.
Dr David Farrington is the principal dentist at Pymble Dental Practice and has worked in the North Shore for 10 years. He educated at Sydney Boys High School, then Sydney University where he holds bachelor degrees in Medical Science and Dentistry. He was awarded the Martin Halas II University Medal for Professionalism and Competency in Clinical Dentistry in his final year. He completed further study in Oral Surgery and Implants in 2019.
David is a relatable and personable dentist. He is a clear communicator and is very knowledgeable about all things dental. He applies an honest and practical approach to his treatment plans and consultations. He prides himself on being thorough; and this is reflected in his well-constructed and easy to follow treatment explanations.
Since graduating from Sydney University, David regularly enrols himself in continuing education. He is certified Invisalign provider, and has completed courses in oral surgery, implant surgery, endodontics, radiography, diagnostics and many more. He is member of the Australian Dental Association and the Australasian Osseointegration Society.
David enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but is particularly interested in implant surgery and restorations.
David has gained a reputation for being very gentle and calming which is particularly useful in treating anxious or nervous patients and children. He aims to create a soothing environment without urgency, so that he can explain or narrate each procedure to eliminate the surprise that certain sounds or sensations in the dental surgery can create. He understands that for many people going to the dentist is daunting, and hopes that his friendly, fun and gentle attitude can contribute to a positive experience and alleviate anxiety. With his experience in treating children, he hopes that his younger patients will feel excited about their regular check-ups.
