Dr Craig R Duval is a male General Dentist.
Craig Duval was born in Durban, South Africa and his family immigrated to Melbourne in 1981 before settling in Brisbane in 1983. He attended high school at Marist College Ashgrove, before graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1994.
Dr Craig Duval had roles as an Assistant Dentist in a couple of Brisbane private practices before he and his wife Katrina had a working holiday in England in 1997 and 1998. On returning to Australia in 1999, Dr Craig Duval helped establish a new practice in Jimboomba on the southern outskirts of Brisbane.
In 2000, Craig established Calamvale Dental Centre. After an extension of the practice in 2005, he successfully rebranded the practice to Designer Dental Studio, where he practiced as the owner and principal dentist until 2010. After several locum roles based at Kenmore, Wickham Terrace and Central Queensland, Craig joined St Lucia Dental in August 2011.
In 2012, Craig was recognised as a Platinum Invisalign Provider, which is usually only achieved by a select few orthodontists.
In August 2013 Craig purchased Sherwood Forest Dental from Dr George Coumbis and now is continuing to grow the practice as Sherwood Dental.
Craig is committed to the highest standards of care for his patients through actively participating in professional development. Since 2003, Craig has attended over 200 hours of continuing education every year. This has involved many courses in Brisbane, interstate and overseas. Craig is one of the few Australian recipients on the Presidents Honour Role of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, which he received in 2007. Craig was the first Australian awarded the prestigious LVI Rising Star Award for Outstanding Commitment to Education in August 2007. Craig was awarded a Fellowship from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies in 2008.
He is currently a member of the Australian Society of Endodontics, Australian Prosthodontic Society and Australian Dental Association. Most weeks he can be found attending lectures in Brisbane or interstate.
