Dr Claudia GA Rodrigues is a female General Dentist who speaks Portuguese and Spanish (as well as English).
Claudia was born in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Ribeirao Preto University [Sao Paulo] in 1998. She had a well established private practice in the state of Sao Paulo for 3 years. Her work and continuing education focused on general dentistry with interests in special needs children, geriatric dentistry, orthodontics and prosthodontics.
In 2002 Claudia moved to Auckland, NZ. Once there, she worked as a Dental Hygienist for 3 years whilst doing the necessary courses and exams for the recognition of her diploma with the Dental Board of NZ and Australia. Claudia gained full recognition and her qualification in 2005 and then worked at Christchurch Hospital for approximately 6 months in emergency services.
After that period, Claudia moved to Australia and she started work in a private practice in the mining town of Moranbah in Queensland. She worked there for 4 years and due to a high volume of patients with different needs Claudia gained vast experience in all areas of dentistry.
Early in 2010 she decided to move to the Gold Coast in Queensland where she began working at the Griffith University Dental School. There Claudia was providing oral health care to patients in the dental clinic and she also began supervising their 3rd, 4th and 5th year dental students.
In November 2010 Claudia had the opportunity to purchase this dental practice at EagleHeights which had previously belonged to Dr Sean Donnelly for 15 years.
Today, Claudia runs this practice offering treatment in all areas of dentistry, as well as keeping one day free to enable her to supervise the Paediatric Dentistry clinic at the Griffith University. Her gentle and caring attitude is welcomed by her patients and together with a wealth of knowledge and training she has much to offer anyone coming through her doors.
A desire to continue learning sees her attending conferences and courses to increase her knowledge and recently she concluded a 2 year mini residency programme in Orthodontics. More recently she became certified to use Botulinum toxin for the treatment of temporo mandibular disorders.
Claudia is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. When not working she likes to spend time with her family and friends as well as their two dogs. She also enjoys exercising, travelling and scuba diving.
