BDS (Liverpool), MFDS, General Dentist
Dr Christopher K Fitzpatrick is a male General Dentist.
Chris grew up in the North West of England, in a small town called Lancaster, not too far away from the Lake District. If you’ve ever seen ‘Escape To The Country’ you’ll know the type of place. After finishing high school, he went straight to the University of Liverpool to study dentistry, of which he graduated with Honours in 2006.
He was awarded the HR Williams prize in Oral surgery, and also the University Prize in Dental Surgery, for overall highest academic achievement in dental school.
Soon after graduating he spent valuable time as a Senior House Officer gaining experience in oral medicine, oral surgery and restorative dentistry, working alongside esteemed consultants at the local hospitals in Merseyside. During this time, he attained post graduate qualifications, to become a member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Prior to his move to Australia in 2013 he spent time working in General practice in the UK. What started out as a temporary visit to Australia, became permanent with Chris proudly receiving citizenship in July 2019. After spending time in both Queensland and Victoria working in Private practice; Chris decided that Queensland was where his heart lay. This led to a move to the beautiful Sunshine Coast, joining the Avenue Dental family in 2016, which progressed to him opening Avenue Dental Bli Bli in 2018.
Chris practices all aspects of general dentistry. His typical day consists of surgical and complex restorative dentistry. He is particularly experienced in wisdom teeth removal and offers this service under IV sedation. If you’ve been told you need your wisdom teeth removing under general anaesthetic be sure and book in to see him first for a complimentary wisdom tooth consult as this might not be the case.
He prides himself on his communication skills and likes his patients to always feel comfortable in the dental environment. Why not see what some of his patients have to say about him.
Lifelong learning is very important to Chris, and he likes to keep up to date with the continual changes within dentistry.
